Freemasonry

So what exactly is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry offers its members an approach to life which seeks to reinforce kindness for others, to be helpful in the community, promote honesty and be courteous within society.

Members are strongly advised to hold the interests of the family with most importance, but Freemasonry also teaches and practices concern for people, care for the less fortunate and help for those in need.

Freemasonry teaches moral lessons and self-knowledge by means of three allegorical dramatisations, which are learnt by heart and performed within each Lodge. The structure and working of the lodge alongside the sequence of ceremonial events, offer members an excellent framework for character development, teamwork and companionship.

People become Freemasons for a variety of reasons; some through family tradition, upon an introduction from a friend or by sheer curiosity.
